Troubleshooting Errors

A Guide for Troubleshooting and List of known Errors that occur with Mobile Devices

Connecting with Trust Wallet on Android device

Using the dApp browser feature inside Trust Wallet for the Android operating system is the most convenient way to connect to BodaSwap. DO NOT USE 'WALLET CONNECT' WHEN USING THE TRUST WALLET DAPP BROWSER.

When connecting your wallet to the main https://bodatoken.app page, select 'Trust Wallet' in the Connect Wallet drop-down menu to connect your Android device via Trust Wallet dApp Browser.

When connecting your wallet using the Connect Wallet option on https://bodatoken.app/bodaswap, please use the Trust Wallet (Android) to connect.

Some issues occur depending on the type of mobile device you are using. Despite having the same Android Operating System, we are aware that some non-Samsung mobile phones act differently with the wallet connect.

Make sure to select Binance Chain when connecting your wallet for the first time, as it can default to Ethereum Network on the first connection.

Connecting with Trust Wallet on iOS device

dApp browser is now available on Trust Wallet iOS Devices, you will need to update your Trust Wallet via the app store.

When using the Trust Wallet dApp browser, you first need to make sure you are connected to Smart Chain. There should be an icon (usually in the top left) that shows a symbol for the network. By default, it can show the Ethereum Logo. Press that logo and a menu will appear in Trust Wallet where you can select Smart Chain.

From there, you can press Connect Wallet on our Bodatoken.app website and select Trust Wallet.

Make sure to select Binance Chain when connecting your wallet for the first time, as it can default to Ethereum Network on the first connection.

Token Approval

When you attempt to swap a token other than BNB you will be asked to approve the token spending from your wallet.

To increase security, BodaSwap will only request an Approval Spending Limit for the number of tokens you wish to swap/sell. This means that if you only wish to swap/sell 100 of Token A, then it will only approve 100 of Token A.

You will be required to sign an approval signature transaction from your wallet. This process can take between 20 seconds to 60 seconds depending on the speed of the blockchain network.

Following the success aproval signature for the swap allowance, you will then be promoted a second time in your wallet to confirm the swap trade.

Swap Complete

Once your swap is complete, you will see a Swap Complete window appear.

For additional safety and security, we recommend using the EverRevoke dApp built by EverRise to check if your wallet has any open Token Approval connections to other dApps, DEXs and/or Smart Contracts. You will need to pay a small gas fee to Revoke Token Approval permisions from your wallet. Revoking Token Approval to your wallet is the best practice to keeping your wallet is safe. https://everrise.com/everrevoke/

Common Errors for Failed Transactions

1) Not having enough BNB in your wallet to pay for gas fees. Every transaction requires a gas fee to be paid in BNB.

Example; If you have 1 BNB and you try to spend the whole 1 BNB, you will not have any left aside to pay for gas. If gas fee is 0.005 BNB, you can only spend 0.995 BNB. Because you need 0.005 BNB to pay for gas fee.

Solution - Try adjusting your BNB amount to make sure you have enough to cover the gas fee inside your wallet when making a transaction.

2) Not enough slippage. Most commonly occurs when you attempt to swap a taxed token with another taxed token.

Example; If you try to trade Safemoon V2 for BODA V2. Both tokens have a transaction tax. Safemoon has a sell tax of 10% and BODAV2 has a buy tax of 12%. Because you are trying to sell Safemoon directly for another taxed token such as BODAV2, you may require slippage input. You may need to increase slippage to above 22% (10% sell tax + 12% buy tax).

Solution - Add manual slippage to the swap. Slippage % will depend on the combined buy & sell tax of the taxed token you are trying to swap.

3) An issue with the token you are trying to swap.

For Example; a token may have halted trade and paused or locked the smart contract.
